What is "hot water extraction"
Hot Water Extraction is commonly accepted as the best deep cleaning method for carpets and upholstery. It involves a mixture of hot water and cleaning agents being injected into the fibres of the carpet at high pressure and then extracted along with the soil via a powerful wet vacuum.
How often should I have a professional clean?
The industry guidance says every 6-12 months… A maintenance clean every 6 months not only cleans your carpets, it also adds to the lifespan of the carpets. Over time, the fibres of your carpet will get flattened by the weight of being walked upon. A professional carpet clean can help restore the fibres back to there upright position.
Do I need to empty the rooms before cleaning?
yes and no… we will move small items and we can pull a sofa out to clean behind as long as it can be moved by one person. We do ask that you move breakable and valuable items to a safe space to avoid any breakages whilst cleaning. If there is large, heavy or valuable furniture, we will clean around the item (glass cabinets, TV units, Wardrobes).
Can JFKleen remove stains?
No reputable carpet cleaner can guarantee any stain removal completely. Typically we can at least reduce the appearance of many stains including Coffee, Wine, Ink, Paint, Oil based, Urine, Pet dirt and more. We have on hand a variety of stain removing products to tackle each type of stain.
How long will it take for my carpets to dry?
Your carpets usually take 2-6 hours to dry off after a clean. If you can ensure windows are cracked open to increase ventilation and turn the heating up a notch, this will greatly help your carpets to dry. We use an air mover in certain rooms to help boost drying times where we can.
